In 2015, SaskMilk unveiled the Dairy Entrant Assistance Program (DEAP). DEAP was developed with the goal to assist new farmers in entering the Saskatchewan dairy industry and ensure that new farms are successful and have long-term sustainability. There have been thirty-two new farms that have passed through the program since inception. Additional farms have been accepted into the program and are on the way to becoming important members of Saskatchewan’s dairy industry!
